Samsung devices running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or later require a rooted device with SuperSU 2.49 beta or newer in order to use the additional settings shortcut.

I will no longer respond to reviews/emails stating that the "additional settings shortcut" doesn't work for devices without root access or rooted devices that don't have at least SuperSU version 2.49 beta. If you need the shortcut to work, please follow the instructions and root your device before blaming me or stating that it doesn't work.

The shortcut does work for most other rooted Android 5.0 devices and has been tested on my stock Moto (2014) X and Nexus 5. Android 4.x devices (excluding Samsung) usually work without root access 99% of the time.

• Identify dead spots around your home or office that affect phone calls but not data, or vice versa.
• Reception quality can be misleading when relying solely on bars. This app allows you to see all the hidden data that Android and your carrier keep from you in order to determine signal quality and its variability.
• Access to low-level information about your previous and current Wi-Fi connections, including the current signal strength in decibels.

The app also includes hidden configuration settings (cellular radio configuration, Wi-Fi configuration, battery information) that are normally invisible to users.

Compare your signal quality based on percentages instead of just decibels. Now, you can instantly see how great each signal reading is for your device on a scale of 0% (worst) to 100% (best). The percentages are configured to provide the most accurate reading for your specific carrier by default.

Utilize the information provided by this app to monitor your current signal and identify dead spots around your home and office. It is also useful for effectively communicating with tier 2 technical support at your carrier when you experience poor signal quality. Be well-informed and use their knowledge to your advantage!

This app works best for phones with either a CMDA or LTE data connection, but I provide as much GSM information as possible. If it doesn't work with your device, please email me and I will work with you to resolve the issue.

Note: Not all information may be available depending on the OEM/OS. Info that is not displayed will show as "N/A".

If the advanced area button causes the app to crash, it is an issue with your device and not the app. I apologize for any inconvenience caused (there is not much I can do other than remove the button for your specific device). Some manufacturers may restrict this activity added to the pure Android OS, such as certain Samsung devices.

Permissions:

• CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - These permissions are necessary for the app to display useful information.
• INTERNET - This permission is required for the small banner ad integrated into the app.
• ACCESS_SUPERUSER - This permission is used only as a fallback for devices that cannot access additional settings.
